Job Description:

4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Required Qualifications 

  • 5 Yrs of Experience in business objectives and problems and identifying alternative solutions

  • 5 Yrs of Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processing and/or to improve existing computer systems

  • 5 Yrs of Experience in writing detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop and/or modify computer program

  • 5 Yrs of Experience in cost/benefit analysis of systems and alternatives

  • 5 Yrs of Experience in analyzing and documenting input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reporting

  • .5 Yrs of High level of sound logic and analytical ability difficult

  • 5 Yrs of Highly developed oral and written communications skills

  • 5 Yrs of High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others motivate employee and elicit work output

  • 5 Yrs of Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to own organization

  • 5 Yrs of Knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information, applications, organizational structure, etc.

  • 5 Yrs of Knowledge of emerging technologies (new to company systems as well as those that are new to the information systems industry)

Preferred Skills:

  • 2 Yrs of Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates

  • 2 Yrs of Familiarity with company's information architecture and information management methodologies

  • 2 Yrs of Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components
