Job Description:·
Responsibilities
Lead the architectural strategy, design and development of scalable and reliable systems that meet user and business requirements and align with industry best practices and District goals.
Provide guidance and mentorship to development team members and serve as a subject matter expert and technical lead throughout the software development lifecycle.
Lead detailed systems analysis and end user interviews to define system requirements; translate user and systems requirements into functional specifications.
Collaborate on architecture and integration requirements across multiple functional teams to implement solutions while abiding by District security policies and practices.
Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Holds one or more required certifications in the following or related areas: Software Architecture, Software Development, Software Lifecycle, Python, ITIL.
Experience in software architecture across enterprise information systems including solutions design, implementation, testing, training and maintenance of various solutions.
Experience in web, mobile and cloud application development.
Experience in team-based project management.
Knowledge/Skills
5+ years of experience with progressive leadership experience in the logical and physical architecture of systems in collaboration with business partners and app teams.
5+ years of full-stack development experience in Linux and/or Microsoft Windows environments.
5+ years of applied experience with Python, C#, SQL, Bash, SQL Server.
Advanced skill in technologies including Flask, Docker, IIS, .NET Core, GitHub, Jenkins, GitOps, Nginx.
Knowledge of networking and infrastructure technologies: VMWare, Load Balancers, Firewalls, SSL-Termination, IDM, SAML, Azure.
Expert knowledge of MS Office Tools and Google Suite; strong math, logic and analysis skills.
5+ years utilizing project management methodologies including waterfall and agile.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills; must have excellent and adaptable communication and listening skills.
Ability to respond timely to client requests; manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks appropriately; and take initiative to complete assignments and responsibilities within a set timeframe.
