Job Description:

As a VERTEX Consultant, you will be a key player in end-to-end project implementations, focusing on taxation solutions. You'll bring your deep Vertex configuration knowledge and project leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver solutions aligned with industry best practices. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of consulting experience with a strong background in SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in full life cycle Vertex implementations, including requirements gathering, gap identification, and solution design.

  • Configure and manage all taxation-related processes within Vertex.

  • Set up and manage connectivity with third-party interfaces, ensuring robust data flows and validations.

  • Collaborate closely with SAP environments, applying your knowledge of taxation within SAP.

  • Demonstrate strong project leadership by coordinating cross-functional teams (on-site and off-shore) and driving the delivery of detailed designs.

  • Manage project deliverables and oversee project management activities.

  • Act as a primary liaison with clients, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance and grow the team's capabilities.

  • Work effectively in an onsite-offshore model, coordinating and communicating across all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of consulting experience involving end-to-end project implementations.

  • 5+ years of hands-on Vertex configuration experience.

  • Minimum of two full life cycle Vertex implementation experiences.

  • Strong knowledge of all configurations and processes related to taxation within Vertex.

  • Experience in setting up connectivity with third-party interfaces with Vertex.

  • Experience working with complex interfaces, including data flows and validations.

  • Experience working in an SAP environment is a must, especially knowledge of taxations in SAP.

  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, including coordinating cross-functional teams and focusing on delivering detailed designs.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including developing business and functional requirements, and delivering management-level presentations and proposals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in high-tech or software industries.

  • Experience working in an S/4HANA environment.

  • Bachelor's in Finance, CPA, or CPA equivalent.
