Job Description:

A Business Analyst II is needed to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process engineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

Required Skills:

  • 4 Yrs of AASHTOWare Project Documentation for all AWP projects and enhancements. Document business requirements

  • 4 Yrs of Detail requirements for development user stories and work with developers to answer questions.

  • 4 Yrs of Work with the business to understand needs and determine process versus functional needs.

  • 4 Yrs of Work with business and Scrum Master to determine priority and help groom backlog.

  • 4 Yrs of Identify gaps and or requests that conflict with system functionality.

  • 4 Yrs of Change between large tasks and small tasks quickly.

  • 4 Yrs of Hit milestones set for discovery.

  • 4 Yrs of Assist with project and program planning based on understanding of system and level of effort.

Preferred Skills:

  • 1 Yr of Strong documentation skills.

  • 1 Yr of Jira/Confluence and or Visual Studio ADO.

  • 1 Yr of Strong Excel skills.

  • 1 Yr of Ability to meet with stakeholders and lead conversation.

  • 1 Yr of Understanding of when an item may need escalation.

  • 1 Yr of Knowledge of AWP specs and requirements.
